I began my martial arts training when I was ten years old at the Chico Judo Academy under the direction of Professor Bud Estes Judan. There I studied youth judo and learned rolls, falls, grappling and throwing arts. While in high school I studied boxing, and Karate, where I learned how to punch, kick, block and move. After graduation from high school I began my judo style of jujitsu training under the direction of Professor Lamar Fisher, Judan at the Nibukikan martial arts academy. There I studied DanZanRyu jujitsu achieving the rank of Godan, (5th degree black belt and the title of school head). After many years of teaching jujitsu I went back to my roots and studied Kodokan judo achieving the rank of shodan, (1st degree black belt). In 2016 I moved away from Chico to Greenville where I opened The Dojo and began teaching youth sport Kodokan judo and DanZanRyu jujitsu. My academic history includes, graduating high school and attending Butte college where I received a degree in Law Enforcement. After a tour in the field, I went into the culinary arts and became proficient in all forms food service as well as nutrition and dietary requirements. Throughout my careers I always kept learning as much as possible in the areas of health and wellness through the martial arts training. I am certified in Massage and the restorative arts of Danzanryu.

In 2012 I returned to Butte college and majored in health care. After successfully covering the medical prerequisites of Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Child development and Psychology I worked at the college as a supplemental Anatomy instructor and as a Biology lab technician. After moving to Greenville and I went into business for myself as the Sensei of the Dojo where I teach youth sport judo and Danzanryu jujitsu. Some of the certificates I have held include, First aid and CPR instructor, Certified Nurse Assistant, Phlebotomist, Lab Technician, Nutritionist.
