The Dojo Attends California State Judo Championships

Martial Arts Judo in Quincy Plumas County

Congratulations to the young athletes of The Dojo!

On June 9th 2019, The Dojo martial arts academy took four young competitors from the Greenville and Quincy, California Dojos to the California State Judo Championships held in Sacramento California. The Tournament had over 200 of the best judo competitors the state has to offer. We are proud to say that the students from our little communities in the Sierra Nevada mountains did their local towns proud. We took two third-place finishes out of four entries. We are now turning our sights onto Nationals. The AJJF/ATJF National  tournament will be held in Atlanta Ga. on August 3rd. Wish your local boys and girls good luck as they continue to be their best, and continue their quest for excellence.

2019 Summer Event Calendar

Announcing The Dojo’s 2019 Summer Event Calendar

This summer will offer several opportunities for students to practice their skills and test what they’ve learned. The Dojo will be hosting several local tournaments at the beautiful Indian Valley Community Center, as well as a day of ‘Judo in the Woods’, a tournament and training session in a gorgeous forest on fifty acres in Northern California. Just like last year, Judo in the Woods will offer a BBQ lunch and be followed by a dunk in the swimming hole. We will also be traveling to nearby tournaments in Petaluma and Santa Clara.

New this year, The Dojo has been invited to Nationals in Georgia!! For those who can’t make it, or who want to support the kids from afar, we will be hosting a live screening of this tournament at a location to be determined.

June 16th: Santa Clara
